Brian Reynolds

Brian Reynolds is an experienced trial lawyer. For over twenty years he has litigated cases throughout Colorado, and he has served as lead trial counsel in dozens of high-stakes lawsuits. Gifted at telling his clients’ stories, Brian has won jury verdicts, arbitration awards, and final administrative decisions for his clients.

As a Denver probate litigation attorney, Brian guides beneficiaries, heirs, and fiduciaries through contested estate and trust proceedings. He assists his clients in the litigation and resolution of will contests, trust contests and reformation matters, inheritance disputes, and fiduciary removal and surcharge lawsuits. Brian is particularly experienced at handling contentious probate and trust disputes involving allegations of fraud or fiduciary misconduct.

Brian also helps consumers, investors, and businesses who have suffered financial losses due to fraud. He has successfully brought lawsuits for violations of the Colorado Consumer Protection Act, and he is especially adept at representing elderly clients who have been victimized by fraud or financial exploitation by a trusted advisor, family member, or other fiduciary. On behalf of judgment creditors, Brian locates and collects assets to satisfy court judgments, including assets held by trusts.

Additionally, Brian represents law enforcement officers in select cases where the officer is exposed to significant personal liability or serious disciplinary action. He is approved legal counsel for members of the Denver Police Protective Association (DPPA), the Aurora Police Association (APA), the Colorado Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), and the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC).

Education

Brian graduated with a BA from Miami University and with a JD from the University of Denver. While in law school, he was an editor on the Denver University Law Review and he was the winner of the 1997 Daniel S. Hoffman Trial Advocacy Competition. Brian is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy trial skills program, and he has taught continuing legal education classes on the subjects of legal ethics and attorney professional responsibility.
